Seestüberl Restaurant - Café in Walchensee

Never experienced anything like it, most insolent host I have ever met. Doesn't want to go into details - a la "they can't read - warm food only until 2 p.m." and obvious ignoring & bullying. Couldn't stand staying to eat Incredible

Parlor !! And that's exactly what it is. It's not a restaurant and that makes all the difference. We were served attentively and had our meal fairly quickly. One can always argue about taste because one does not know the standard of the other, my rating is also omitted here. Ambience is typical of the region and not modern or extravagant.

We actually wanted to take the cable car to the Herzogstand, but unfortunately the summit was in clouds. So we looked for a restaurant in town for a quick lunch. The car park attendant recommended the Seestüberl to us. Arrived and, despite CORONA, immediately got a place with a wonderful view of the lake. Service very friendly despite the fact that there are guests who simply ignore the access rules in Corna times. As a guest you could sometimes "get out of your skin". Eat very good, excellent German cuisine from Leberkäse to gravy. Prices also okay. Thank you for the short, pleasant stay.

Unfortunately, rather taciturn and unfriendly service, so we didn't feel welcome. Most of the food is ready-made (especially frozen pizza), apparently only the schnitzel is prepared by the customer. The location on the lake is quite nice, but the restaurant is not really recommended in culinary terms.

So actually I hate to write bad reviews, but we have rarely been served in such an unbelievably rude way. The waiter spoke in one-word sentences, gave us a menu with about 8 dishes, half of which could not be ordered. There was no drinks menu and the toilet was dirty. Then better get a salad or a Bifi at Edeka and sit by the beautiful lake.

I have seldom seen such unfriendly staff, neither a hello to greet them nor a: 'How did you like the food'. But the absolute top hit was the frozen pizza for a whopping € 9.50 !!!!, I've never experienced anything like that, and rightly gave a tip of 0 cents for this underground service.

This place is not for vegetarians.

Not flexible when it comes to ordering food. Food didn't come as agreed. Landlord unfriendly. Food nothing special. Definitely never again!

The staff is quite unfriendly, the portions are probably all designed for children (except for the pizza) and there were salt and pepper in two small 1x1cm packets ... taste ok.

Seldom had such unfriendly staff (I don't want to offend the staff, I think it was the owner). Ignorance at its finest and corona rules are also not adhered to. I only say as much as he believes that his exposed location belies his sub-classic food. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The food is really very good. The dressing from the starter salad is delicious and the freshly caught fish is a delicacy?? You have to take the staff as they are a bit special but okay. Don't talk a lot and make a grumpy impression but there are worse things ?

First of all, an absolutely rude host. Due to Corona you are brought to your table, but at the beginning you neither get a good day nor a hello! Looks cozy from the outside. But you don't feel welcome. ...Too bad!

Super friendly and amazing food.

If I could give 0 stars, I would do it right away. If you find a frozen pizza for 8.50 euros and an unfriendly host / waiter okay, you are welcome to stop here. I would advise against anyone else (at least definitely when eating "pizza"). If you sell frozen pizza, you should honestly declare the least thing. And when asked whether you could still have mushrooms on the Pizza Magherita, answer something like "we don't have any". Only to then realize that the reason you don't get mushrooms is because you are being served a frozen pizza. I would recommend removing the frozen pizza from the menu and giving the host / waiter a course in friendliness if possible.

There were four of us eating. All of the dishes were delicious. Despite the full economy, we didn't have to wait too long. The salads, but also the meat-heavy main courses, were excellent both in terms of quality and quantity. Good home-style cooking with fresh ingredients. Service would be more than praise with the Bavarian “fits scho” ;-) We will always be eating here in the near future

The food is a dream, the location is great and offers an amazing backdrop. The landlord is an Austrian original and has a great sense of humor. The service works more than well, the waiting times are really fine and schnitzel and salad are the best the corner has to offer.

Super nice, family inn on the lake. The owners were lovely and the food was delicious and not overpriced. I can only recommend it! ☺️

After the first conversation with the host, we immediately left the restaurant. My friend and I have never experienced anything so unfriendly. There wasn't even a hello in there. So if the food tastes like the "friendliness" of the host, then I advise everyone to go to a different place and avoid it.

We were on June 30th, 20 in the Seestüberl excellent food. The waiting time was short, although very well attended. We were very friendly and attentive from the service. Price performance fit very well. Always my pleasure!

Top location good for braking in hunger and thirst, right on the street. Food was good and reasonably priced. We have welcomed each other like others, but not felt. Feeling our visit was (June 2019) rather load than lust for the motto Help sales threatens. Sorry, but next time we'll stop at a different location on the lake.

The restaurant is located directly on Walchensee, unfortunately there is still a road in between. The food is simple but good, the portions are absolutely fine. The staff is usually friendly.

A nice little cafe with great cakes. Its a great stop if you're in the area and what to relax for a few minutes with something to drink and eat.
